LIMEN – Marc Vilanova
Sound and Light Sculpture with Music by Jordi Savall
MONTBLANC
Former Hospital of Santa Magdalena
11–16 August | 09:00h – 14:00h
*Limen* invites us to cross the threshold between the visible and the invisible, between the audible and the inaudible. Marc Vilanova’s installation explores the limits of perception by transforming the imperceptible ultrasonic frequencies of fluorescent light into a sound and light experience. This version, specially adapted for the Jordi Savall Festival, incorporates *Contrapunctus* I and IX from Johann Sebastian Bach’s *The Art of Fugue*—performed by Jordi Savall and Hespèrion XXI—establishing a dialogue between two works that reveal what remains hidden: the invisible sounds of light and the invisible architecture of music.
